Laver Residential Projects director Dennis Vertzayias has sold 3500 apartments across Sydney and counts Cronulla’s newest development, Solstice, among the best.

“It’s right up there in the top handful in terms of its quality and the actual design,” he says.

“The consideration that’s been put into these floor plans, the way it flows and the finishes, seriously, it’s one of the best developments I’ve been involved in.”

A boutique block of just 15 apartments right opposite the beach, Solstice is the latest project from local developer-builder GNK Developments.

The company has teamed with Maritima Developments to offer downsizers and professionals a new level of luxury in Cronulla.

“There are only two to four apartments per floor and they’ve all got a massive frontage to the ocean,” says Vertzayias.

“Solstice is the culmination of all the developer’s learnings and their understanding of the local market, which has evolved substantially.”

The large, curved balconies make the most of ocean views and there will be a triple garage for each residence in the basement. The ground floor apartments will come with impressive wraparound gardens and their own gated street access.

Solstice is a pet-friendly building, so owners can move in with their four-legged friends.

“It’s really a great option somewhere between a house and an apartment,” says Vertzayias, who believes there are thousands of Sydneysiders looking to offload the family home and make a lifestyle move.

“I think the end-user is going to be a very active downsizer coming from a big house,” he says.

“They still surf and play golf and they want to wake up, go for a walk on the sand, have a swim, go fishing and feel like they’re on holidays.”

While property in the Shire often trades among the locals, Vertzayias says the majority of inquiry for Solstice to date has come from out-of-area buyers.

“I think they recognise this is a great building that represents good value for money you can’t get anywhere else in Sydney,” he says.

“This is a premium product in a premium location.”
