Soaring to new heights: Live a golden life at Assana Broadbeach

With year-round holiday vibes and world-class amenities, Broadbeach, one of Gold Coast’s most sought-after suburbs, offers a lifestyle that’s become the envy of those living south of the Queensland border.

Broadbeach is home to sun-kissed beaches and ocean swells, a bar and dining scene that keeps on outdoing itself, and some of the Gold Coast’s most famed attractions, yet, it’s the suburb’s newest landmark development that’s been making waves.

Perfectly positioned between the hinterland and coast, Assana is set to be the tallest building in the area, with an elegant yet striking design by Sydney-based SJB Architects.

“The development has been considered to fit seamlessly into the Broadbeach lifestyle with its slim design and flowing architecture,” explains CEO and head of development and construction for Macquarie Developments Group, Peter Galvin.

Assana will feature one to four oversized apartments per floor (146 in total across 52 levels), including a combination of two and three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom ‘sky homes’ and whole-floor penthouse suites, all with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape – ocean, river and hinterlands.

James Lampropoulos, partner and director of Laver Residential Projects, says that Assana is a unique building, where every apartment is a corner apartment by design.

“Your view lines open up significantly on corner units, especially on a design like Assana, where there has been a real focus on maximising the sweeping views with extensive use of floor-to-ceiling glass windows throughout. You literally have 270-degree views from every apartment. So, if you are on the eastern (ocean) side, you still look to the river and hinterland, and vice versa on the western side.”

Setting the scene for what lies within is the beautiful lush landscaping by renowned landscape architects Arcadia, where prominent palm trees are integrated into the design.

“We set out from the beginning to provide homes for people to live in, not just apartments. We wanted to provide luxurious apartments with house-like proportions that people could afford,” says Galvin.

Each apartment is bathed in natural light and features a spacious open-plan kitchen, living and dining area that’s made for entertaining, with a large kitchen island, a butler’s pantry and living areas that effortlessly flows onto the balcony. The luxury finishes and appliances that have been integrated throughout provide a lifestyle of ease and comfort.

“Each apartment features house-like proportions, and all include genuine luxurious appointments as a standard feature, such as timber flooring, a butler’s pantry, bespoke custom joinery, state of the art home automation including motorised blinds and curtains, and a built-in Sonos sound system. Assana manages to provide all this at a very affordable rate,” says Galvin.

Still, that’s not all residents will love about living at Assana. Boasting resort-like facilities, the level 10 recreation area is a hub for some of life’s simplest pleasures, with a 20-metre infinity pool with stunning ocean views, plus a spa, sauna, gym and yoga room.

Then there is the private residents-only lounge on the mezzanine level, thoughtfully designed as a multi-purpose area with high-end amenities, including a work from home space, lounge and a private bar for owners to entertain at. Or, they can head down to the ground level to the barista-style café.

Lampropoulos says buyers are loving the combination of oversized apartments with spacious private spaces and world-class amenities that create a sense of exclusivity.

“The early response has been very strong, in particular from local owner-occupiers and what we call lifestyle investors – people who are primarily purchasing for personal use, but they use the property occasionally as they have another property in Brisbane or interstate,” he says.

“Another big selling point that has really appealed to buyers is that the building is DA approved and Multiplex, a tier-one globally recognised company, has been appointed as the builder.”

Construction of Assana is expected to be completed in late 2024. Two-bedroom apartments are priced between $800,000 and $1.43 million and three-bedroom apartments between $950,000 and $1.8 million. The Skyhomes and Penthouses are available by expressions of interest.
